Daytime talk show producer turned episodic television writer, Elena N. Diaz draws from years of craziness and fills her pages with emotion and humor. Born and raised in Connecticut, Elena began her creative journey at age two, stowing away in the bathroom with books she couldn't read, babbling aloud as she turned the pages, imagining immersive worlds to play in. As an adult, her love of creating worlds blossomed into highlighting BIPOC characters and giving the stories her life inspire, a place to call home.
Elena has had the privilege of placing as a semi-finalist in the 2022 DGE Writing Program and the 2022 Black Boy/Girl Writes Media Initiative .

I am a storyteller.

No matter what form or function said storytelling has lived in, I've always held true to the belief that being creative and sharing stories keeps me sane. It allows me to live in my truth. Awards me the freedom to be bold, fierce and loud in a society committed to stifling individuality.
I am a proud Latinx woman, determined to see representation both on and behind the silver screen.
